New Map(s) on the Server
Howdy All,
Just a little update to mention we are beginning to add some custom maps to the rotation. Currently we only have 1 additional map up there, ctf_turbine_v3 and I must say it rocks, much better then the half-assed ctf_well valve just put out (ok, that’s my opinion, mileage may vary).
Additionally, we have set up a fast download server for the game to use so it should be significantly faster on getting the new map. 1 caveat though, set your “rate” console variable to 999999 before connecting to any servers. Once connected the server will throttle you down to 30000 but it really improves connect times. To do this, from the console type:
setinfo rate 999999
and you’re good to go. Anyway, if you have any map suggestions, feel free to let us know, either in game or via the forums or PM’s.
